Position 1 Title: Full-Time Apartment Painter

Schmelz Contracting Services is a trusted name in residential property services and part of the ELS family of companies. We manage a growing portfolio of apartment communities and are looking to expand our construciton laborer team with a reliable and detail-oriented professional.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a full-time Apartment Painter to join our team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our apartments are move-in ready for residents. The ideal candidate is dependable, energetic, skilled and takes pride in maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including patching holes, sanding, and priming of vacant units for re-occupancy
- Apply paint using brushes and rollers to walls, ceiling, and other surfaces
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area.
- Inspect completed work for accuracy, consistency, and overall quality.
- Report painting supply needs
What We Provide:
- All painting supplies, equipment and clothing
- A collaborative, supportive work environment
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- 40 hours per week (full-time)
Compensation & Benefits:
- Starting pay range: $22.00 to $24.00 per hour
- Health, dental, and vision insurance (after 60-day introductory period)

Requirements:
- Valid driver's license and auto insurance
- Reliable personal vehicle (used to travel to job sites)
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
- Comfortable with squatting, bending, and kneeling
- Direct deposit required
- Previous residential painting experience
